Wedding Hair Trends

We all know what time it is once spring rolls around and the grass starts to turn green – Wedding Season has arrived!!  We can find inspiration for wedding hair everywhere we look.  From cinema, nature, red carpets, we are always on the lookout for the up and coming trends.  Ultimately you want to keep it classic; it’s great to pull from all these sources but our goal at Ave. Beauty is to make you a timeless bride.  The last thing we want is for you to reflect back on your wedding pictures and thing what was my hair stylist thinking!!  I wanted to share with you the inspirations we have seen going into the 2015 Wedding Season.

The most classic and timeless Bridal look is a traditional bun or Chignon.  It has been seen in films, red carpets for many decades.   This look keeps things simple and clean allowing the bride and her dress to shine.  This style is very versatile and can go with most dresses.  It will bring a very elegant essence to the brides overall look.

This summer we will see a lot of braids and twists incorporated into the up do’s.   I like the detail and texture it adds to the look.  Braiding has been a basic hair skill since the beginning, obviously with all the period films we see them in.  So when done tastefully and appropriately the texture and detail it can bring to an up do is an important key to some looks.

Hair pieces such as the classic veil are always a very traditional Bridal Look.  Birdcages have made a bit of a comeback the past few years as well.  We did see a some roaring 20’s influence on some of the head pieces the last few seasons.  They added some originality, I am always a fan of that decade! Other big trends are flower crowns and flower detailing.  Depending on your venue and dress details adding fresh flowers are a simple and romantic element to incorporate.

2015 will be full of soft romantic waves and texture with flares of fresh flowers and braids!  Whatever look you decide to go with, just make sure it’s one that you are comfortable in.  I also recommend you spend the additional fee and time doing a trial.  Its really important that you and your stylist have the same game plan and that all the fine details are addressed prior to the wedding day.  That way you can enjoy your wedding morning with your close friends and family.   The wedding day goes by quick so enjoy every moment!

Congrats on your wedding and if we are not glamming you up for your wedding day, we wish you all the best!
