Primer Perfection

Everyone wants their complexion to look flawless, and to stay flawless longer than a couple hours. Primers have been in and around the makeup artist industry for a long time, but recently using a Primer everyday has become a must have product for the everyday woman.

A lot of woman us primers already, however I find a lot of them don’t know the benefits to using a primer. The truth is if you can find the time to do this extra step, especially on a big night out you will notice a huge change in how your foundation performs.

A moisturizer or a UV Protector can be added before the primer. The Key Benefit to a good primer is it allows your Foundation to last longer. It does this by creating a barrier between your skin and your foundation. The pores of your skin secret oil, these oils can shift, breakdown, alter your foundations appearance. This also creates a smoother base for foundation to reduce the appearance of fine lines instead of enhancing them. A second key feature to a good primer is that is protects the skin from harmful, aging effects of the environment.

Primers can come in a number of different formulas. Some are a basic invisible primers, while others are tinted to help correct your skin tone. Others are designed to illuminate and add a glow to your skin. They all can be beneficial, depending on what your skin tone needs. If you have a red undertone a green primer will be beneficial to you by helping to neutralize those red tones. If you have a dull complexion you may want to try out the purple toned primer.

My Top Pick for a Primer would be Makeup Forever HD Primer and the Laura Mercia oil free Primer.

Good Luck!
